Drop me a note

Kally Jo Surbeck

I have always been fond of languages. Being the youngest child in a very large family, I learned at an early age just how valuable words truly are. Often I’m asked why I chose romance as the umbrella genre to write for: I think it boils down to an insatiable degree of hope, the belief that dreams do come true, there is still happiness to be found despite the amount of horrors and atrocities one might suffer. I believe that. I want to believe that. I think we all NEED to believe. Romance holds tight that ideal. That is why I have served in the industry over the years in local, regional, and national chapters.

Among several awards I am proud to say I have achieved over the years, I was the ’06 Colorado Romance Writers Author Of The Year. EPPIE winner, multiple EPPIE Finalists, AOE Finalists, Dream Realm Finalists, and Daphne du Maurier Finalist and Winner.

I have been incredibly blessed to not only have my single titles, and my independent work, but to have had several wonderful opportunities to be in anthologies with talented authors, magazines (The WereTraveler is an amazing online periodical I highly recommend), and some serial compilations. And while romance has been the umbrella, it is not the only writing I do. There is a little something for everyone in my writing.

I love to hang out with my friends, family, and my readers at events, conventions or on my Instagram or Facebook accounts and I love to hear from those who have read and enjoyed my work. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
